Our Creative Challenge

Create an iconic hang out in a gritty, up and coming neighborhood.

Our Approach

Strip back the existing space to the stack wood studs & ceiling wood decking and expose all the honest structure of the 100 year old building shell.  We used restraint in the design to focus the space on the customer and their lives. With the Owners, we carefully chose any additions, like a hand-crafted encaustic wall and Dutch made light fixtures, to feel inherent to the space.
