Narrative The originalLark turned 10. It was time to get bigger and more substantial. The interior of the new Lark realizes a 3-d environment of Chef Sundstrum's cuisine; an interior that respects the bounty of Pacific NW nature and is authentic, rich textured, and comfortable with a twist of elegance.
Craft Daily interaction with the carpenters creating a one-and-a-half story white washed stud wall that runs the length of the space. The wall cleverly divides and screens the multiple venues of the restaurant and holds the wine collection. The wall has massing to create a division but also has transparency to view the grandeur of the 100 year wood timber that envelops it. Robert Cipollone worked on-site with electricians to create the ethereal LED light sculpture that wanders across the ceiling.

Collaboration Inspired by Property Management and Woodmark Hotel management, a fresh, modern cafe took shape. The space is off a marina and next to a hotel so fast, custom & comfortable offerings guided the menu and the design
Narrative An atmosphere inspired the the waters of the marina and natural material surrounding the lakefront location.

Collaboration Concept design delivered to client and F&B team at resort. Back and forth dialoque with VP of Development, Branding Partner, Chef and contractor to achieve cost effective success.
Narrative Focused on delivering a family-friendly, memorable menu, the heritage of the resort and affirming the natural mountain setting of the building. This design has all the conveniences to be utilized through out the day as well as being approachable and comfortable.
Craft Working with natural honest material applied as interior finishes, the design brings elements on the surroundings into the restaurant with the softwares, furnishings and branding.

Collaboration Worked with Client and Food Service Management to deliver fast speed of service for customers with cashless kiosks and consolidating and upgrading food offering venues.
Narrative Residential, Local, Comfortable and Artistic. Use os warm & fresh tones and providing clear paths for food service, creates a warm atmosphere where guests are immediately comfortable for relaxing or getting work done away from their desks.
Craft Working with artists to create custom wall covering that fills wall with black and white painted graphic patterns to create a dynamic environment.
Collaboration The intimate and unusual tasting room was developed through bursts of energetic dialogue with owner, Ryan Crane, and design conceptualization with architect Loren Supp and Gensler
Narrative Creating a tasting room that is an homage to Ryan's winemaking process in Walla Walla. Deconstruct the elements found around the vineyard and repurpose them into a tasting and production space
Craft Wine barrels brought to Seattle were broken down into pieces and reused throughout the space by the millwork craftsman. Stainless steel and wood form the tasting bar. The sculptural lighting element were formed by looping the metal barrel straps. Wine-stained wood staves are mounted on an elegant feature wall, forming an array of spiraling arcs along the wall's length

Narrative A straightforward yet seductive loft with a monochromatic and warm palette of materials that is deliberately Pacific Northwest focused
Craft Pure simple space planing. Robert Cipollone worked with Owners to cull anything unnecessary to ensure a flexible space. The bar was located off to one side of the mezzanine, with a long banquette to create a large dining area that could easily be manipulated. Custom metal topped communal tables are pushed together for family-style meals or separated for smaller parties
Collaboration Sound-board to Chef Scott Staples and his business/design partner Heather Staples. The Staples, worked hand-ons with a local general contractor with a carpentry approach which lead to daily design interaction for the handcrafted build-out
Narrative Iconic neighborhood bar. Warm, comfortable, and made familiar with Pacific NW characteristics. The interior is stripped back to the stack studs & ceiling wood decking. The result is a place you are immediately comfortable hanging out, becoming part of it's history
Craft The environment is about a hand-crafted bar, front and center. Restraint in design to let the building envelop and customer be the focus. Carefully chosen additions, like a hand-crafted encaustic wall and Dutch made light fixtures, feel inherent to the space

Narrative Creating a "market" at the base of an office tower to offer a unique and memorable dining experience. The space also integrates comfortable lounge areas that are a welcome amenity for the tenants of the offices above.
Craft Weaving together individually owned food kiosks around an anchor tenant using a clean modern palette of materials. Ease in circulation results from stripping back the building to it's structure and layering in a directional wood ceiling feature
